Ashwin spearheads the expansion of our Circular Economy practice, strategically beginning with Fashion and subsequently extending into vital sectors such as Food Systems and Sustainable Cities. He leads initiatives to facilitate inclusive circular economy ecosystems and mobilize sustainable investments, while driving impactful collaborations across enterprises, policymakers, investors, and communities.
Ashwin brings 15 years of diverse experience across Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Sustainability, Climate Action, and Commercial (Sales & Marketing) roles. Notably, as Director – Procurement & Sustainability (India and SE Asia) at ABInBev, Ashwin set up the sustainability team from scratch; while leading their responsible supply chain practice, circular packaging initiatives, decarbonization strategies, and sustainable agriculture sourcing.

Immediately prior to joining us, as an independent advisor and consultant, during what he terms as his “entrepreneurial journey”, Ashwin has actively engaged with several global and Indian start-ups in domains incl. water stewardship, climate risk mitigation, supply chain sustainability and urban development; gaining unique insights into impactful business models and cross-sectoral partnerships. With a proven track record, all through his professional journey, Ashwin prides in addressing complex business challenges which, align seamlessly with Intellecap’s vision of shaping inclusive markets that deliver lasting developmental impact.

Academically, Ashwin is an Economics and Marketing post-graduate; and is recognized globally for his expertise in Circularity, Sustainability Reporting, Policy Advocacy, Climate Risk, and Carbon Accounting. He has attended leadership programs at Stanford University and recently completed his PGP in Public Policy from the Takshashila Institution.

Ashwin is deeply passionate about driving circularity and climate thought leadership, writing newsletters, mentoring emerging professionals, and engaging in discussions around systemic change. He has native proficiency in English and Hindi, along with working proficiency in multiple other languages including Bengali, Urdu, Bhojpuri, Gujarati, and Punjabi.
