The selected candidate will join the Sankalp Forum team, one of the world’s largest platforms for inclusive development. Since its inception in 2009, Sankalp has convened stakeholders across 4 continents, spotlighted over 2,000 entrepreneurs, connected them to 300+ investors, and helped raise over USD 800 million in capital. Sankalp is globally recognized for shaping impact discourse in partnership with platforms like the World Economic Forum, G8/G20, and several governments and corporations.

We’re looking for a Programming & Content Lead who can anchor the design and execution of our global summits, ensure we stay on the cutting edge of impact trends, and tell stories that inspire. This is a unique opportunity for a strategist who understands both systems change and the power of curation.

What You’ll Do?
- Lead agenda and theme design across all Sankalp regional and global summits in India, Africa, Southeast Asia, and online
- Work with the leadership team to identify emerging themes, bold ideas, and influential voices in areas such as climate entrepreneurship, gender & inclusion, blended finance, future of work, circular economy, and more
- Curate high-impact sessions and formats: Keynotes, panels, workshops and immersive experiences that spark dialogue, collaboration and tie back to Intellecap’s core business activities
- Build and manage relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, foundations, multilaterals, media, and thought leaders who speak at Sankalp
- Oversee speaker management: Outreach, onboarding, briefing, and post-event engagement
- Collaborate with communications and design teams to craft session narratives, program guides, and content for social media and campaigns
- Support the creation of post-event knowledge products such as insight reports, speaker highlights, and thematic blogs
- Represent Sankalp in ecosystem forums, working groups, and partner networks and ensure our programming reflects cutting-edge thinking from the field
- Maintain a curator’s mindset – constantly scanning the ecosystem for new themes, voices, ideas, and partnerships

What We’re Looking For?
- Master’s in Public Policy, International Development, Business, Journalists, Media Sales or related fields.
- 7–12 years of experience in content curation, knowledge, communications, program design, or ecosystem building
- Deep exposure to the impact, entrepreneurship, or development finance ecosystems in India, Africa or globally
- Excellent research and analytical skills: You track global trends, identify signal from noise, and know what makes a conversation meaningful.

We have strong partnerships with global institutions like World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Rockefeller Foundation, IKEA Foundation, and USAID and we are now looking for a Senior Associate/Manager Role – Fundraising & Strategic Alliances to lead our efforts in mobilizing financial and strategic support for Sankalp’s global programs. You will play a crucial role in building long-term partnerships with foundations, multilaterals, governments, and corporations who believe in the power of entrepreneurship to solve the world’s toughest challenges.
THE ROLE
Annually we organise multiple flagship summits – Global; Bharat & Africa Summit that bring together between 1200-1500 stakeholders from the Sankalp Community. In addition, we host Sankalp Dialogues and Regional Summits, which are smaller scale convenings typically structured around particular themes or stakeholders. We also host the CAIF Conclave, a Private Equity Conference “Rendezvous”, as well as other initiatives such as #WomenAtSankalp.
The Senior Associate/Manager plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between strategic development and hands-on execution within the Sankalp framework. As an analytical thinker, they are entrusted with innovating new engagement initiatives, enhancing the existing frameworks, and driving impactful interactions within the Sankalp community. Their expertise lies in assisting in business development, from drafting compelling proposals to building and nurturing essential relationships.
Their role extends to convening management, where they collaborate closely with the Sankalp team and ecosystem teams at Intellecap in organizing Sankalp’s events, maintaining databases, and nurturing strategic partnerships. Adaptable, problem-solving, and with a continuous learning mindset, the Senior Associate/Manager is a key asset in ensuring Sankalp’s success and influencing meaningful, positive change within the broader community.

What You’ll Do?
- Manage and grow our fundraising strategy: Co-design and implement a forward-looking plan that aligns with Sankalp’s vision and programmatic goals.
- Identify, engage, and secure funding from a wide network including philanthropic foundations, corporate CSR, bilateral/multilateral institutions, and government agencies.
- End-to-end proposal management, from concept notes and budgets to pitching and deal closure, with support from content and operations teams.
- Strengthen strategic alliances: Nurture relationships with existing partners and build new ones that open doors to capital, networks, and influence for Intellecap & Aavishkaar Group.
- Track performance & pipeline: Maintain dashboards and systems to monitor progress and identify new opportunities for engagement and growth.
- Tell our story powerfully: Work closely with communications and program teams to create compelling reports, presentations, decks, newsletters, and donor communications.
- Drive visibility and thought leadership: Support communications across channels like newsletters, LinkedIn, partner campaigns, and post-event reports.
- Represent Sankalp externally: Attend high-impact meetings, pitch events, roundtables, and sectoral conferences in India and globally.
What We’re Looking For?
- Master’s in Public Policy, International Development, Business, Journalists, Media Sales or related fields.
- 8 – 10 years of experience in fundraising, partnerships, business development, wealth management or CSR.
- Proven ability to build and manage client relationships and expand partnership portfolios.
- Experience working in or with impact-driven organizations, foundations, development finance, or social enterprises is a major plus.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Origination and successful execution of private equity or M&A transactions in focus sectors.
- Develop and manage institutional relationships with potential clients and Investors/Financial Institutions
- Mentor junior team members to create better delivery and leadership capability
- Generate new business ideas, ventures and service offerings that could add to the firm’s existing revenue generation ability
- Seek cross selling opportunities with other business units and group companies
- Write thought pieces for publication and present at conferences to propagate the IBG view points .
- Develop sector thesis and credentials in one or two key sectors – Agri, consumer, renewable energy
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 6-10 years of proven experience in raising private equity and/ or M&A for companies, in FIG, Agri, Health, and Energy sector.
- Transaction experience across Private Equity and/ or M&A
- Good BD skills and relationship with both domestic and International investors.
- Experience in managing staff and interactions at all levels of the organization
- Has built strong relationships with clients and investors locally
- MBA Finance or CPA / CFA/ CA with a minimum of 8 years post-qualification experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial markets and investment banking business.
- Ability to plan, execute and deliver on projects in a timely manner.
- Attention to detail, organized and thorough with desire for continuous improvements.
- Strong entrepreneurship drive, excellent managerial skills, self-confidence, good Page 1 of 2 judgment and ability to make sound decisions.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 6-10 years of experience in Investment Banking;
- Should have handled Transaction Collaterals – Teaser/ Pitch Document, Information Memorandum, Financial Model, etc. – on its own
- Arriving at comparable transaction multiples – Precedent Transaction Multiples, Public Market Multiples; (Please add knowledge of valuation techniques – DCF to this)
- Having been part of closed private equity transactions is a plus;
- Knowledge of relevant regulations (FDI, SEBI, RBI, etc.), term sheets, and shareholder agreements are desirable.
- An MBA from a top business school or equivalent;
- Deal experience in focus sectors- Healthcare, Agri, FIG, and Renewable Energy.

About Circular Apparel Innovation Factory (CAIF)
Circular Apparel Innovation Factory (CAIF) is an industry-led initiative (seeded by and within Intellecap)
and a common action platform with a purpose of accelerating the transition of fashion industry across
the global south to become resource efficient (through decarbonizing the supply chain) and responsible
(through creating green livelihoods) through adoption of a circular economy as a pathway. In line with
this, CAIF’s mission is to build the ecosystem and capabilities to enable this transition and
mainstreaming circular economy across the global south. While seeded by and within
Intellecap, CAIF operates as an independent and neutral industry-led initiative through an industry
facing governing structure comprising a Governance Council and Advisory Committee which includes
global and regional leaders from organizations like UN Environment Program (UNEP), UNIDO, Aditya
Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd., H&M, Marks and Spencer, Arvind Ltd. etc.
Purpose of the Role:
The CAIF team is driven by the mission to accelerate the transition of fashion industry across the global
south to become planet positive and people positive through adoption of a circular economy as a
pathway. To achieve this mission, the CAIF team engages with a diverse set of clients such as leading
DFIs, large foundations, corporations and investors to develop and implement multi-year ecosystem
level programs and interventions. To shape the global industry’s response to 2030 SDGs, CAIF’s efforts
focus on – a. decarbonizing the off-shore manufacturing across global south, b. ensuring zero leakage of
textiles waste into the environment, c. eliminating single-use plastics from fashion economy and d.
creation of circular and green jobs across the global offshore manufacturing hubs.
Working with the CAIF team, this fast-paced and diverse role will require you to lead the
conceptualization, development and execution of multi-year ecosystem level programs which are
aligned to UN’s 2030 SDGs, CAIF’s strategic priorities and areas that can deliver tangible outcomes and
impact for brands, manufacturers, SMEs, Innovators / Entrepreneurs, and formal / informal workers
employed across the textiles and apparel value chain. These outcomes and impact areas are at the
convergence of response to climate crisis, gender and green livelihoods, textiles waste, eliminating
single-use plastics, energy, and water efficiency, amongst others. You will also actively contribute to
shaping and achieving CAIF’s long-term strategic and sustainability roadmap.
Core responsibilities as Manager, CAIF
Stakeholder Engagement and Strategic Planning:
- Textiles and apparel stakeholder mapping and managing a database of such private and public
sector stakeholders incl. brands, manufacturers, innovators, ecosystem enablers, industry
associations / bodies etc. in the global south (South Asia, Southeast Asia, East Africa). - Own, build and nurture key relationships with strategic partners
- Develop an up-to date knowledge and insights into their needs, gaps, and challenges to
address (at an organization level) - Actively work to build and nurture CAIF’s partner network.
- Contribute to the development of CAIF’s mid to long-term roadmap that will help CAIF take a
market-leading position in enabling the transition of the industry to a circular economy.
Business Development:
- Identify and lead response to relevant tenders and RFPs (Request For Proposals) – defined and
structured response to opportunities from DFIs and / or Philanthropic Foundations. - Help identify and conceptualize multi-year ecosystem level programs in areas of CAIF’s focus
- Multi-year ecosystem level programs at the intersection of climate action, waste
management, circular economy, gender, green or circular jobs in the context of the
textile & apparel industry in the global south - Meet agreed and assigned business development targets and KPIs
Execution & Delivery:
- Lead the planning and management of end-to-end execution of projects by 2-3 member teams
- Lead secondary and primary research (quantitative and qualitative) and analysis as a part of
project delivery for insight generation - Apply appropriate research, consulting and design thinking tools and methodologies for project
execution and insight generation - Lead and manage project / program’s stakeholders and partners
- Lead monitoring and evaluation of projects and impact delivered
- Lead preparation and submission of high quality project deliverables in a timely manner
- Serve as the point of contact (PoC) for project clients and lead all project presentations and
interactions with them - Gains respect and builds relationships at the appropriate level within the client hierarchy
Sector Knowledge & CAIF Profile Building:
- Collaborate with colleagues and partners across multiple geographies to develop understanding
and expertise on the various aspects of the textile & apparel industry in the global south - Lead insightful research and analysis on themes including (but not limited to) textile waste
management, plastics free economy, alternative materials associated with textiles sector,
climate change, de-carbonization strategies and pathways, low carbon solutions, financing
mechanisms, green and circular job creation etc - Create, publish and disseminate knowledge and thought leadership pieces like articles and
whitepapers widely to enhance CAIF’s brand profile - Represent CAIF at Sankalp, Intellecap’s flagship event, as well external platforms, events and
conferences to strengthen CAIF’s brand profile
Team Building
- Actively contribute to setting performance goals and KPIs for junior team members
- Mentor and guide junior team members in achieving performance goals
- Mentor and support junior team members and enhance their capabilities and productivity

Qualifications & Experience
- Postgraduate / Master’s degree or equivalent from reputed institutions
- Minimum of 8-10 years of past experience in circular economy, design thinking, business
consulting, development sector research and consulting, inclusive business models, program
management, or related/equivalent domains - Past experience in working on programs and engagements for clients like DFIs like IFC/World
Bank, USAID, JICA etc. and/or large foundations like BMGF, Laudes Foundation, Rockefeller
Foundation etc. is highly desirable - Past experience in engaging with corporates as a part of public-private-partnership programs
will be an asset - Prior experience on projects associated with the Fashion/Textile & Apparel sector is desirable
but not mandatory - 3-5 years of experience in managing teams

Project Execution:
- Lead the delivery of multiple project workstreams, solving complex problems that
