Rianta Capital Zurich

Rianta Capital Zurich is a single Family Office based in Zurich with offices in the United Kingdom that provide investment advice and management support to the trusts and investment companies associated with the Principal Family.

The Principal Family originates from India and is now in its 5th generation in the UK. Its wealth derives predominantly from a global fashion retail business founded in the 1960s, and its trusts have a diverse range of investments across a number of asset classes, sectors, geographies and currencies. Among them is the Artha Initiative, an informal program that was created to encompass the venture philanthropy and impact investment interests of the group. This program is committed to principles of sustainability in the impact created by motivated entrepreneurs seeking to create appropriate products and services for the BoP.

Intellecap has been working closely with Rianta over the last few years to provide due diligence support, equity advisory and support to the Artha Initiative. Through our Investment Banking team, we bring to this relationship, our niche expertise in “impact-driven” businesses that are governed by social good and investment returns, and our understanding of rural markets. Recently, we assisted Rianta in investing in a company that supplies safe drinking water in Orissa - a low income state.

In addition, we also work with Artha through our initiative, Sankalp Forum to identify the most scalable social enterprises in India. Forged in 2013, this partnership provides USD 40,000 in grant investments and business support each year.

“My team and I thank Intellecap for the extraordinary job they have been doing for us over the years. We have mandated the Intellecap team to assist us in several due diligences over the past 6-7 years and have always been highly satisfied with the quality of their work, the depth of their analyses and their willingness to follow through and ensure client satisfaction. Our association has spanned as well into our support of their Sankalp Forum, and we are pleased to be on a long-term collaborative track with a great group of people.” — Dr. Audrey Selian - Director, Artha Platform
